Sandbags Available to Brevard County Residents at Two Locations on Tuesday

BREVARD COUNTY, FL. – Free sandbags will be available to Brevard County residents at two locations Tuesday.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will have supervised inmate work crews filling and loading sandbags for residents from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Work Farm, 2955 Pluckebaum Road, in Cocoa. A schedule for Wednesday is pending updated weather impacts.

In addition, supervised inmate work crews will also fill and load sandbags beginning at 9 a.m. at Kings Park, 995 Chase Hammock Road, Merritt Island. Sand bags are available until 3 p.m.

There is a 10-bag limit per visit. The sand is provided by Brevard County Government.
